Telecom companies charge per message, which is based on the number of characters that you send.
Here is a list of number of messages per SMS based on the number of characters.
Note: Each message has a limit of 160 characters. Exceeding this limit will convert the message into a multi-part message, where each message has a limit of 153 characters.
Use the smart links feature to shorten the long hyperlinks in your message. Once you enter the message, you can see on the screen the length of your text in terms of characters and messages.
The message content can be added either using the visual designer or simply copy/paste any HTML code that you might have designed with other tools.
You can make your campaigns more personal and relevant for every customer by using the personalization tags like customer name, birthday, etc.
By default, the communication preference tag is included in the message box, otherwise you can insert the tag by clicking on the personalization tags icon and selecting Communication Preferences.
We recommend you always include a communication preference link to allow your customers to opt-out and update their communication preferences.
Shortening and tracking links
If you have links in your message, you can shorten them (in case of SMS to save on the number of characters) and track who clicked on them (click rate).
You can just insert the smart link tag and type (or paste) the link you want to put in your message. The system would automatically track who clicked on the link.
