The registration page gives you full control over configuring different registration forms for customers to register that can be used across different channels like tablets at the store or at an event, a campaign, online, or through online ads.
When setting up a registration page, you can choose from two templates: default and checkin. The checkin template would enable customers to check in using their phone or email to verify if they are already registered before filling out the registration form. Moreover, this template gives the customer the ability to send a message to themselves with a link to their microsite so they can update their profile if their information is already in the system. This is a very useful feature to provide to customers.
For example, a customer is not sure whether they registered or not, she enters her email at the checkin page, and the page would display if that email is already in the system. Then the customer can select to receive an email with a link to her microsite so she can view her profile.
If you select the checkin template, you get to select which email or SMS sender id to use to send the communication to the customer along with the communication template.
The Registration Page Profile
You can select which profile copy you want to display on the registration page. It is recommended that define a profile copy based on where the registration page is going to be used. For example, if the page is to be used in the store on a tablet then it is recommended to select a profile copy that has a very few number of fields to make it quick for the customers to register.
The Registration Page Source
You can select where the page will be used. This is for tracking purposes so you can easily measure which source is bringing the most number of customer registrations
The Data Map
This is where you configure where you want to store the new accounts that register using the registration page. For example, if the page is used inside the store then you would want to store the accounts under the branch by selecting the branch where the application will be used.
You can store the new accounts either under a branch, a list, or ecommerce site.
This is basically for tracking and targeting purposes. For example, if you store the new accounts under a branch and later you send an email campaign to that branch then the new accounts will receive the campaign for being part of the branch. You can store the new accounts under a specific list to keep them separate so you can target them separately with campaigns etc.
